Recommend me a force feedback wheel for PC racing that won’t wake up my wife, and have a Lancia 037 for your time.

My current Logitech Momo Driving Force wheel is obnoxiously loud. The gear whine from rotating the wheel is so bad that it drives my wife NUTS and I can’t play my favorite racing games. HAAAALP!

I’ll let you guys make the decision on what you consider affordable. You seem like a trustworthy lot xD

Logitech? Gave mine away, because we just stopped playing. But a great piece of kit.

I’m running a Logitech G27 - not sure how the sound compares to the MOMO Driving Force, but I’ve never had issue with it. I can check with my other half later to see what she thinks, but I’d expect the pedals would be noisier than the wheel for the most part (barring calibration and any dramatic off-track shenanigans).

If you care about PS4 compatibility, you’d want the newer G29, otherwise you could probably pick up the older wheel for less. It works fine on the PC.

Thrustmaster has several options, but I can’t say as I’ve ever actually used any of them, and Fanatec makes excellent wheels by all accounts but I wouldn’t ever call them “affordable”.

I’m quite liking my Logitech G29. PC, PS4, and PS3 compatible. Much quieter than my Logitech DFGT wheel.

Just a heads-up - I got a g27 a while ago from seeing glowing reviews such as this and many others, and the first time I used it, I thought that it was broken. Looked it up, and no, it turns out they’re known for TERRIBLE dead spots right in the middle of travel, but nobody ever mentions that before you shell out a couple hundred bucks on a wheels/pedal setup... and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Good to know, the G29 seems to be the direction I’m headed in right now.
